Harry Connick is different; he has obvious talent at arrangement and big band direction.
I like hearing him do pieces such as “Moonlight Seranade” by Glenn Miller.
To my ear, it always seems that Ed Sheeran is straining to stay in tune or to sustain a whole note when he sings.
To each his own, though.
Think of them as different kinds of bread - white bread, whole wheat bread, honey week bread, etc.

I was most certainly NOT comparing the two. Ed’s got a mostly ‘poppy/hispter’ thing going on. HCJr is multi-talented, and I agree - the “crooner” type, and Glenn Miller is a good comparison.
