SAN JOSE, Calif. — As the Bay Area continues to struggle under the weight of its homelessness crisis, officials and nonprofits are asking local residents to do more than hand out meals or donate spare change. They’re asking them to open up their homes.

I sincerely hope that they force the residents to take in homeless people. I will enjoy that more than I should.

You first leaders... then maybe folks,will,give 2-3 seconds thought to,it... and decide no! But do lead by example- opener yer doors leaders to the really nice homeless folks.

If they limit this request to the people who voted them into power, I’m cool with it.
First and foremost they are supporting substance abuse and mental illness.
These programs sound good and make people feel better but in the end they are just promoting the problems and degrading the quality of life for everyone (including the homeless).
