This may be a bigger backup delay than the police or media are admitting at this point?

A live video posted estimated backup at seven kilometers or four and a half miles. Police also a roadlock so more vehicles don't get into the bottleneck.

There was some discussion of a Blue Water Bridge jamming the other day, but I didn’t see any jam there this morning.

This video poster paints a serious picture with vehicles blocking and police calling in tow trucks...

I know the area well having worked downtown for many years, if the two sides of truckers work together they can clustf*** the whole area on both sides of the Detroit River, especially Detroit that has all kinds of tight roads around the bridge.

Fun Timez...

There is also a tunnel between DayTwaigh and Windsor. Not sure if trucks can navigate but likely they can.

I don’t remember if trucks are allowed in the tunnel. Fun fact, only could get WWJ AM radio in the tunnel.

I think they have clearance but Tight-Turns and city street access both sides.

Google Maps is now showing the highway to and from the bridge in Windsor is closed. They are also showing heavy traffic at the alternative crossing further north in Sarnia.

Hopefully at some point the Canadian government will realize that their attempt to create a highly controlled society using COVID-19 as a pretext is not what Canadians want.

I was incorrect. It’s WJR. According to web CKLW was originally wored for the tunnel.
Honestly do t miss that area of the nation even though I guess it’s my home state. Georgia is my home for now and looks like Florida or Texas before long as liberal voters flock to this state and bring their bad voting habits and lack of morals.

Some Canadians claim Windsor is the armpit of Canada.

Yeah, but they have the “Windsor Ballet”, so at least there is some culture there.

Yeah, no, not very well. Built in 1929 with tight curves.

Very little truck traffic.

Less infrastructure for border inspection too.

There is also a tunnel between DayTwaigh and Windsor. Not sure if trucks can navigate but likely they can.

And all traffic exits the tunnel in down town Windsor, it would become a nightmare in about ten minutes if not less.
