They could have laid the guy flat on the ground, never touching him. He would have expired there, without much effort.

But they didn't. And as long as the coroner could show that kneeling on his neck contributed to his death then they had enough to convict all the cops.

That's not what the coroner or the report testified--it said the knee was on Floyd's "back." The defense lawyer pointed this out after the prosecutor claimed the knee was on Floyd's "neck."

The next time the prosecutor referred to this detail in the proceedings, he weasled his words--tacitly admitting he'd been caught lying--and now described the knee as on Floyd's "neck area."
