I didn’t know that, and am not sure at this point if that fact makes a difference. He’s good information and a strong following. A grain of salt goes a long way. IMO.

Rush Limbaugh showed the way. They blamed him for everything, threw every ad hominem possible at him. Hell, Bill Clinton outright blamed him for the Oklahoma City bombing. And he’d play they criticism, laugh at it and mock them. He never ever bent the knee and that’s why he remained relevant and effective for 30+ years, plain and simple.

Yep, he gave his opponents advertisement and legitimacy. He has been completely used. Now he is suffering the sociological consequences.
1) By apologizing Rogan has forfeited his right to be regarded as a man of integrity.
2) Has Rogan discussed at length the question about the meaning and intent of his uses of the Forbidden Word? Was there a single instance of malice?
3) Rogan has demonstrated how servile and irrational many, many have become. Freedom is not possible with such servility.

I forgot about Sandra Fluke. I suspect women in his family and perhaps his inner circle let him know they didn’t like it. He bent the knee, but my guess is it wasn’t to the left but to those women.
For the first time ever, I went to Spotify and listen to Joe Rogan yesterday on my seven and a half hour drive from Chicago to my home in South Central kentucky. There were two episodes. One was with a female MMA fighter and the other was with an expert on ancient geology. The latter was far more interesting to me and even brought up some things I already knew about my home of Eastern Washington for so many years.
And you are absolutely correct. I wasn’t able to watch him but I was able to listen on Spotify and he didn’t sound all that bright, that is in his voice inflection he didn’t. In his words he did at important times. This controversy has actually caused me to seek him out and listen to him and I find him fascinating. I listen to one of his interviews with Jordan Peterson right now.
On a related note, I also listen to his explanation of the two episodes that got everybody all riled up about him, and that is a joke. Assuming he’s telling the truth, he had actual experts on the subject come on his show and say what they believed, and people thought that that was misinformation. That is pathetic. It’s like the people that said Rush Limbaugh was a racist, simply because someone famous said he was. What a world...
I like Jordan Peterson, I’ll have to go check that one out.
I read his book and understood about 10% of it!
