New Mexico is one of 37 states that get to immediately appoint a acting representative should a vacancy occur. What’s to stop NM from appointing a replacement if the rep who suffered the.stroke resigned. The answer is nothing the feds or other states could do its entirely up to New Mexico and it’s governor who does the appointment. I would expect that if there is to be a prolonged absence the pressure to resign will be overwhelming.

Doctors performed "decompressive surgery" on him, likely a decompressive craniectomy.

If it was a full craniectomy, they removed a piece of his skull to relieve the pressure on the brain from the stroke.

If it was a partial craniectomy, they left a part of the skull attacked to all blood to continue flowing to it.

In either case, it is a much more serious recovery than just a stroke. His skull will have to heal, too.

We did not know that but it seems like Biden should have gotten this.

Thanks for the information.

The MSM is sure trying to be quiet about this.

Partner, we thank you for this correction.

The MSM must be printing that this Senator from NM will be back very soon.

I do not think they know what a decompressive craniectomy is in the first place or as President Trump said it was probably Fake News.

It will be a very long time if he even gets back to being a senator.

Since the DemonRats will be clobbered come this November we should not be surprised if they have an election now.

If they roll him in then we can not say a thing about a crippled man.

People are starting to ask questions.

New Mexico transparency group demands more info on Sen. Luján’s health after stroke:

Excerpt:

New Mexico's main transparency group is urging U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and his staff to release more information about his health following a stroke two weeks ago.

Why it matters: Luján is notoriously private, but a lack of health updates is making some New Mexico Democrats nervous about the future of his seat in a 50-50 Senate.

I read again where he is in a real danger of either dying or he will be a vegetable thinking Senator.

Maybe folks in the great state of N.M. have figured out how the DemonRat party functions.

The manner in which the Dems have cheated in this last presidential election is something else.

We can see how Biden won and it is big time cheating BTW, it is illegal on big time cheating in elections.

The conservative Republicans are pissed off on the manner in which Biden who cheated in the last election was allowed to become our POTUS, who cheated big time to get elected.

In addition to blocking the Democrats’ legislative agenda, Luján’s absence could potentially impact Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nomination.

This isn't delaying anything. The seat isn't officially vacant until the end of the term in June or July. Lujan can put in an appearance to vote at any time.

I'm not sure what to believe.

Lujan put out this video on February 13 thanking the hospital staff for his treatment. He seemed pretty lucid in the video to me.
