That is the salient point. Communists, Fascists, abortionists, hedonists, nihilists, etc. all reject the laws of God and teachings of Jesus because they seek to replace God and position themselves as the ultimate moral authority.

At the time, Hitler claimed to be and was widely considered a man of the left. The main difference and split on the Left was between National Socialists such as Hitler, and Mussolini; and International Socialists such as Stalin. Hitler focused more on race; Stalin more on class.

Yes, I think that’s the argument—that his parents were Catholic, or raised him like one, or something. A weak argument since it assumes he had no free choice of his own. There was also a speech in which Hitler said “As a Christian...”, which is out of context because he was quoting the words of someone else.
