GoFundMe is rife with problems anyway....how to vet who’s setting up and getting money? It’s the Craigslist of begging. You don’t know what you’re getting....and why should anyone get millions? Who stops it?

It’s very hard when the enemy controls the credit cards, banks, servers and marketing outlets.

Nope! SQA not nearly good enough. Then there’s no punishment for the attempt nor for tying up the money for a week or two. If the worst they face is the same as if they hadn’t tried, there’s no disincentive. File a chargeback with your cc. Then you get the money back (what do you want to bet they’ll have ‘glitches’ in the refunds?), and it’ll cost them $15. And they won’t try to stiff you for their fee, as if they had done what you paid them to do.
