I saw an expose on this some years ago showing that “furry” communities were typically awash in the most perverted filth you can imagine. For faux-dogs/wolves/foxes: rub their noses in it. Step 2: if they want to go to the bathroom, take them outside in public.
For faux-cats etc: spray bottle. Very bad cats also go outside.
End of nonsense. Kids can/may pretend to be whatever at recess and Halloween but in the classroom are only humans.
It just means that the little ones have no idea what “identifies” means, and so they claim that they identify as something with no clue about what that really means.
To the kids it means “I like to play and imagine I’m something else, but I know it’s not really me.”
Ignorant adults see this and think that “identify” in a kid’s mouth means the same thing as for an adult, take it seriously, and escalate it to the point where they are bringing the kid to the surgeon to snip off that pesky thing down below.
Oh this is an opportunity for conservative kids to have hours of fun. They can identify as fur trappers.
