MOSCOW, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Russia and China on Friday called in a joint statement for NATO to halt its expansion, while Moscow said it fully supported Beijing's stance on Taiwan and opposed Taiwanese independence in any form.

And lots more, where that came from. Think FED. Think central banks of most nations on Earth.
When there is friction between NATA and CCP, it is by design.
We have no need to win a war overseas. We just need to maintain our navy so we can maintain the freedom of the seas so we can continue to trade with the world.
Particularly the resource-rich Siberian region.
...Why doesn’t Russia just join NATO? They have more Atlantic access than some of the current NATO members!
Russia is breaking away from the DS Cabal, it would be cross purposed to join them.
For example, Russia is exiting the DS inter-banking system SWIFT, and jettisoning the World’s dollar reserve currency.
Russia, like most nations (US, China...) has a deep state problem. US: CIA/DNC/MSM/PHARMA/FED. China: CCP. Putin today wants nothing to do with that.
Well sure, Deep State screws up quite a lot of stuff.
But from a more long-term strategic view, these US and Russia make good sense to be allies. The only two countries with relatively easy access to both the Atlantic and Pacific, both strategically opposed to China and Islam in general Russia may “ally” with some Islamic countries, but it’s the same as us with the Saudis or such. (It’s business, not philosophical.) We were buddies with the Russians back before the WWs hit and Marx took over. Pretty much all of our issues with them are based in the roots of Communism vs liberalism. Take that away, and there’s no reason for us to be at odds for the most part.
GHWB and his merry band of assholes really fumbled the gift of the Soviet collapse that President Reagan handed them. There was a real chance to realign Russia’s interests more closely with Western interests, but considering what the EU has become, and what the US is becoming under the socialists, perhaps Russia is better off without our cultural rot.
