I applaud Rand Paul for his plan but why signal to Fauci what you plan a year in advance? Plenty of time to destroy evidence. Paper shredding and erasing of electronic communications will be underway immediately as well as quiet visits with clear instructions to those who might give unfavorable testimony.
Any investigation of Fauci by a GOP Senate will only go as far as McConnell wants it to go, no matter Paul’s intentions. What US Senate investigation when Mitch ran the Senate ever accomplished anything with real consequences?
Mitch is the protector of the status quo and the establishment. He will let Rand Paul hold hearings. There will be noise about good intentions, mistakes made, and perhaps unintentional lapses of procedure but no heads will roll and no smoking gun will be uncovered. With Merrick Garland as Attorney General there will be no prosecutions. It will be a charade for the consumption of the GOP voter base. The federal health care bureaucracy will continue to go about its mission with no fear of real transparency being imposed.
We need to get a new Senate Leader. Mitch McConnell is a disaster.
Even my doctor who is a vax-a-holic says covid came from a lab, and there’s misinformation on both sides. We didn’t vote for covid and it shouldn’t have this kind of power over the country.
I love the idea, but Rand would have to have support from other GOP pols. Too many RINOs, so it probably won’t happen.

Fixed it.
Fauci has to save all emails that are work related. I would assume he has been been under constant FOIA requests since the pandemic started. I would believe that would fall under a litigation hold and he wouldn't be able to delete emails. Even if he did, email is forever.

Don’t wait to flip it. Flip it next week with a quo warranto questioning the authority of the AZ Senators to remain in the US Senate when a state court rules it broke election laws in the 2020 election. A quo warranto is used to remove an officeholder. In this case, fed office holders in the Senate and House. They have no presumption of authority going in; they have to prove the state court is wrong about breaking election laws.
