As I have said, we can not have civilization without energy because everything is or is the result of energy.

!,000 years ago, energy depended upon man’s physical strength. How fast he could walk, how far he could run. how many berries he could pick or how many animals or fish he could catch.

But the bottom line was energy.

Later came the donkey and the horse and oxen, so he could move faster and farther and carry a larger load.

The steam engine, the automobile and the airplane enabled man to magnify his energy by a thousand fold.

Our government is reducing our access to energy, only a little now but a much greater reduction is planned.

We need to stop this plan before our standard of living is damaged beyond our comfort level.

The danger of an EMP attack is real and it should remind us of the dangers of relying on any single source of energy. As it is, we are too dependent on electricity delivered by a power grid.

Remember when our grandparents warned us “Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.” Our investment counselors give us the same advice in different words. Why should be be less careful with our lives?

Illegal aliens use up our energy (and water).

There is a theory floating around.

We (civilization on Earth) are out of cheap energy. All the covid lock downs are trying to limit the damage. All the green energy schemes are the same.

Life is going back to the norm. A world lit only by fire.

Now, that is nuts. But our standard of living has declined, and will decline further in the short term. If that is because of increased energy costs or other factors honestly doesn’t matter. The ideal of a long idle retirement will go back toward the norm. Life spans will decrease.

“Remember when our grandparents warned us “Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.”

The same ones that used one basket to collect their eggs?
