It doesn’t matter if it’s a major ice storm, hurricane, or emp, or grid attack. Fill your bathtub, and your empty milk gallons. And if it is cold season with subfreeze llkely, drain your water system. Imagine if everyone is in a panic and all the pipes freeze the kind of recovery that would be needed. I remember when there was one storm crisis how desperate the people in that part of Florida were for water.

Nope. The 90% mostly pick themselves: they have little to no food stock, don't own firearms, have no idea how to ferment (food or beer!), and mostly live in the city. Don't own any methods of water filtration or power generation, no idea how to tend a garden or preserve food.
You likely don't know if you're in that ~90%, but you certainly know if you're in the 10%!
