They can easily switch from a blockade to a strike, and cut off supplies.
I watched the Ottawa police briefing yesterday. All of it. The Chief’s comments have been grossly mischaracterized. The City Council was demanding the police use force. He said they have enFORCED the law when it has been broken. They demanded to know about bringing in the military. He said that he has policed in Kosovo in cooperation with military forces, and that in his personal experience, bringing in the military is a very high risk thing, he thinks it’s only been done twice in the last hundred years, and the military is liable to hurt people. Badly. When he said “This may not have a policing solution,” what he was really saying was, “Teargas and batons aren’t gonna fix this. You politicians made this mess and you need to clean it up.” The City Council was very frustrated, because he kept quoting the Charter of Rights and refuses to violate the civil rights of the protesters. He did say they are exploring options for military assistance to the civil power. Of course he is. He’d be derelict in his job if he didn’t at least look at all options. If you question this interpretation of his remarks, I recommend you watch the briefing in its entirety
“They can easily switch from a blockade to a strike, and cut off supplies.”
I’m sure that is plan “B”.

Yep, worst case they all drive home and park 'em.
Rather doubt there are 50K+ surplus rig drivers in Canada to replace them.
Yep.
