GOP to Tucker Carlson: We’re the decision-makers on Ukraine, not you
Politico ^ | February 1, 2022 | Andrew Desidero

Republican senators are unmoved by Tucker Carlson’s relentless warpath against support for Ukraine — even as it widens an existing rift in their party.

The Fox News prime time host and others on the far-right have excused and even rationalized Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine and downplayed its relevance to U.S. national security. And while GOP senators are shrugging off his name-and-shame campaign, Carlson’s views are permeating the GOP base in a way that could undermine Republicans’ efforts to emphasize cross-party unity as they seek to deter a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

These idiots don’t want unity with us. They are saying the same about us. “Once we get rid of these Trumpies, we’ll have unity.”

The RINOs, unfortunately, are going nowhere. They were just as grudging towards Reagan-ites. But they are growing older and eventually they’ll die, and with them their mincing ways. But we’re the future of the GOP. Trump is just the standard bearer for now, and we should spend more time cultivating the Candace Owenses, the MTGs, the Tim Scotts, Erics and Don Jrs., who will eventually have the reins, and bugger-all these old farts can do about it.

I read Russian somewhat and in my mind I translated the comments back into Russian and it sounded almost Word for Word like the horseshit Пропаганда straight out of The Kremlin, Komosolskaya Pravda, and the Russian Foreign Ministry.

I trust Tucker more than the GOP, even if they happen to be right for once.

These RINOs sound like Fidel Trudeau. Tucker holds “unacceptable views.”

Tucker must go to a psychiatric hospital to “get his mind right”. Wrongthink is a “mental disorder”.

It really wouldn't be a proxy war -- neither Russia nor the U.S. really wants to get in an armed conflict with each other.

Anyway, I'm not saying that we should or shouldn't send weapons to Ukraine. I'm simply saying that the objection that this would lead to WWIII is kind of absurd, because neither Russian nor the U.S. has any desire to fight the other.

There is a tendency nowadays to take every conflict and make it part of some much larger narrative, and that isn't always the case.

One of the things I speculated on is if could potentially trigger another Balkans confict, as Serbia is still allied with Russia, and if Croatia gets involved on the side of Ukraine. It wouldn’t take much to spark up that region again.

To leave MTG off of your list, that is a crime against all that is good and right in politics. I would take her over just about any of the new faces on the Conservative front. To me, close to 50% of Republicans are just part of the Democratic caucus.

“ “The people who are saying that we shouldn’t be engaged in this at all are going to be singing a very different tune when they go to fill up their car with gas, if indeed there is an invasion by Russia,” Risch said, referring to the crippling sanctions the U.S. would impose targeting the country’s lucrative oil and gas sectors. “This is going to have a devastating effect on the economy around the world when it comes to the price of gasoline.””

These people are serious morons. We have our own.

“Other than Poland”

Simultaeous with a Russian invasion from the East, Poland could annex FORMER Polish land in Ukraine’s West.

It really wouldn't be a proxy war -- neither Russia nor the U.S. really wants to get in an armed conflict with each other.

And we ALL know how easy it is to prevent a war from accidentally happening!

Now that the vaccine trove for Big Pharma is lessening, it is time to crank of the machine for the Military Industrial Complex. Got to keep those govenment dollars circulating.

On the other hand it probably does make sense to threaten economic sanctions both to discourage Putin, and to discourage Chinese designs for Taiwan. We also need to move a lot of our supply chain out of China. For example, I hear there is a huge pharmaceutic complex in Puerto Rico that fell into disuse when a law favorable to manufacturers was changed. Howabout changing that law to make nearby drug production more feasible and profitable. Why would we want to be vulnerable to China’s production wims?

GOP-e sounds like last year’s Logitech rap singer commercial “Defy Logic” (got pulled after it got ridiculed). “We the makers. We the ground breakers.” LOL no.

M T G, I sing the MTV song when I see her on the Tube. I want more, I want more, I want more MTG’s. She is a badazz. Unafraid, straight shooting, and I would love to see her grab AOC by the scruff and rough the brown-caryn up a bit.
