I don’t have the link but it’s actually a mandate in Chinese law that all Chinese citizens are bound by duty to spy and work for their Communist government whenever they are overseas.

The writer knows and we know that some of us regretted some statements or beliefs or decisions we made at the age of 18. Didn’t we have all the answers? This person sounds like she’s competing in a Miss America contest! I wish I was as smart now years and years later as I was at 18!!!

I think they reported on the news last night, that her passport had been confiscated by China when she arrived there. Hope she’s mentally prepared for her future.
Most likely, it was something like this:
Chinese Olympic official meets with her....”You ski for China, you makee lotsa money. You winne gold, you makee more money. Silver? Not so much. Bronze? Not good. We makee you rich.”
Hope she enjoys China...because she’ll NEVER be accepted back here ever again. Hell, as I understand it, all the US Ski Team members have turned their backs on her, and for good reason.

Her mother and that side of the family is Chinese. She might not look it in the posted picture, but she is, maybe the hair color throws people off.
