Poland has decided to hand over to Ukraine a batch of security assistance.

This was announced during a press conference in Warsaw on Monday by the head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) of Poland, Pawel Soloch, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"It was decided to transfer to the Ukrainian side ammunition of a defensive nature for defensive, not offensive action. This decision is currently being implemented by the Minister of National Defense," Soloch said.

According to the official, the decision was made in close cooperation between the government and the Office of the President of Poland.

Asked whether the weapons were intended for air defense, he confirmed they were. At the same time, the senior official added that the details would later be made public by the Polish Ministry of National Defense.

The missiles are part of a larger supply of ammunition, weaponry and medical supplies that Poland is offering its eastern neighbor

I pray for Poland, given their history and vulnerable position. They are one of the very few sane European countries left. I would love to see our Germany bases relocated to Poland, if they would have them.

Poland wanted a Fort Trump base in their country. Too bad it didn’t happen.

” I would love to see our Germany bases relocated to Poland, “

Poland begged Trump to go ahead and they were 100% for it. Logistically, it would take years to make the transfer.

If Joe Biden sent any .380 ACP to Ukraine, I'm gonna be p.o.ed!

“Poland... said Monday it would be willing to send antiaircraft missiles to Ukraine”

The Ukraine has been receiving quite a few shoulder-fired anti-armor missiles as well. 2,000 from the UK alone, and 300 on just one of the planes from the USA.

The bottom line is that the Russian vehicles and aircraft remain very vulnerable to these weapons.

These weapons deliveries could well make Ukraine too costly to invade - may have already done so.

If we are going to maintain a military presence in Europe (which is a whole separate discussion) I would prefer that it be in a country that would appreciate and welcome our presence.

If they don't wind up on the black market.
