Why do we call it “COVID-19” when it didn’t appear until February 2020?......

I’ve seen reports that extrapolations from blood bank antibody data exhibited about 2 million virus infections in the US by Dec 19.

Yes there were infections in 2019. But the world didn’t recognize it til 2020.

..”from blood bank antibody data exhibited about 2 million virus infections in the US by Dec 19.”

Through Dec 19 that year there was a “Flu” going around our community and every report from friends and neighbors were telling me that they had never had a Flu that bad and they just couldn’t seem to get over it. They were begging me to get a Flu vax. As usual I refused to get the vas. I’ve never had the Flu and I didn’t catch it that winter. I “think” I had 4 days in Nov last year of covid symptoms but didn’’t actually feel bad. Still not getting vax. At my age I’m not worried because I will die before long anyway. In the meantime I seem to be very healthy. The vaccine would kill me.

I was told in Dec. 2019 “we are seeing a nasty chest cold going around this season and you have walking pneumonia”.
