The gop wanted straight party voting eliminated. Dems outnumber the gop, so they wanted to be able to peel off votes. Republicans contend that the straight party-ticket option encourages voters to blindly pick parties instead of candidates.
What should be outlawed are ANY party affiliations on all ballots. The two parties are corporations that have been running the country. Make them work for it.

Sounds good until you think about it.
There is some accountability in a party system, You may focus on negatives but look at the whole system.
Look at countries with a multiparty system. IT IS WORSE THAN A TWO PARTY SYSTEM.

All of that is true. And, they abuse such concerns. The private/public formation of parties is disturbing. Simply look at gop.gov. That shouldn't exist. A private business, shouldn't be taking up .gov domains, they already have established private domains and connections. Same for dems. BS.
