New Hampshire Senate president Chuck Morse didn't let a powerful winter storm get in the way of his formal U.S. Senate campaign launch.
The longtime business owner and Republican state lawmaker declared his candidacy at an outdoor kickoff event in front of his florist, nursery and garden center in southern New Hampshire on Saturday morning, just a major nor'easter was smashing into New England.

Is there another kind, in New Hampshire?
Yes.
I’m going to vote for Bolduc in the primary, and hopefully in the general election.
One of the problems of electing business owners is all they think about is taxes and cheap labor. There are exceptions of course (e.g., Donald Trump) but mostly the GOP promotes and supports people who want to lower taxes and expand immigration at the expense of ignoring other more important things that increase our freedoms and preserve our way of life. Its just how the party rolls.
You have to go back a few years. Gordon Humphrey and Bob Smith are the most recent.
*Bolduc - sorry for typo!!
Chuck Morse was on Team Jeb! in 2016.
I like the looks of that handsome black dog he has.
Morse becomes the second GOP contender to jump into the race in the past week, following former Londonderry, New Hampshire town manager Kevin Smith. They join retired U.S. Army Gen. Don Bolduc, an Afghanistan war veteran who until this month was the only declared major Republican candidate in the race.
Apparently, FoxNews thinks it is the purveyor of who is a “major” and “minor” candidate.
Londonberry is a town of 25,000 people (9th largest city or town in NH) so I would not consider the from town manager to be a major player.
the Green Pages is listing the following challengers to Maggie Hasson.
Republicans
Gerard Beloin His web page is full of libelous statements about various liberals (I guess we could say he is a fringe candidate)
Donald C. “Don” Bolduc Sep 30, 21 report: Total Raised: $130,824; Total Spent: $104,526
Dennis R. Lamare https://lamare2022.com/
Edmond Joseph Laplante, Jr. No info on him other then his FEC filing.
State Senator Charles “Chuck” Morse
Tejasinha Sivalingam Sep 30, 21 report: Total Raised: $168; Total Spent: $168
Londonderry Town Manager Kevin H. Smith
Libertarian Jeremy Kauffman
Yes.
oh good grief. Well let’s hope for Bolduc.
They BETTER narrow it down to ONE, and get the Libertarian to get out....he’;s probably a DEMOCRAT!
Hassan is up 10-14 % over any Republican according to last weeks polls.
It will be interesting to see if Trump makes an endorsement in this race...Morse seems to be the man to beat at this point.
BFL
The Trump endorsement of Corky Messner was not for this race (where as far as I know he isn’t a candidate).
It was for his race against Jeanne Shaheen in 2020.
Corky Messner lives in my town. By Election Day 2020 he had barely campaigned. I know about him because we have the same barber. I never met the guy, and I don’t know anyone who did.
By media exposure (TV/internet) it was Shaheen 100, Messner 0.
I voted for him anyway. He lost 57-41. The Liberdopian got 2%.
He lost all 9 counties. He lost the town he lives in, which voted for President Trump in 2016 and 2020.
I don’t know if the NH GOP did not support him by running a legitimate campaign BECAUSE he was endorsed by President Trump (but it wouldn’t surprise me).
Just as in 2020, I do not expect the NH GOP to put up a serious fight against Hassan, who is one of the weakest possible Senate candidates in this election cycle.
