This Senate Rule Could Stop Democrats From Confirming Biden’s SCOTUS Nominee
The Federalist ^ | 01/28/2022 | Rachel Bovard

With the Senate split 50-50, the provision of Rule 26 that saved Lindsey Graham in 2020 could now doom a similar Democratic effort in 2022.

Most of the GOP will vote enthusiastically for whatever communist Joe puts forth.

This means Senate Democrats on the Judiciary Committee could not, by definition, present a physical majority of members on their own. To meet the requirements of Rule 26, they need Republican help.

And they will get it, of course. From Romney, from Murkowski, from Collins, from Graham himself.

The GOPe arm of the UniParty will do whatever it can to see to it that the UniParty gets what it wants. They’ll, once again, snatch RAT defeat from the jaws of victory for the good of the UniParty.

Well, we know Mittens, and the two sad sisters will go along with whatever Biden wants. Lindsay is probably in there too.

Unless there is a glaring problem, my guess is that most Senators of either party will vote for the president's nominee.

Now, if the Democrats are not united, then all bets are off. Well, that is, except that RINOs will support the president.

McConnell already signaled they’d allow it.

Honestly if Biden would nominate someone actually worthwhile to the bench who would uphold the constitution even with a progressive view I’d probably be fine with it.

But he won’t.

She’s full of crap. It’s a Senate RULE, it can be changed by a majority vote, meaning the Republicans cannot stop it.

Why do we keep getting lied to by people claiming to be on our side?

1. This is not the way things are supposed to be posted on FR. You post the information. Not a link to the information which tells absolutely nothing unless we click it.

2. The article is simply wrong. The Senate Rules say the Chairman of a committee can move a matter to the floor on a tie vote.

I think the next Supreme Court nominee road leads through Synema’s and/or Manchin’s office.

On the other side of the isle, Murky and Windy Collins will hand over a Supreme Court seat for life to just any old Marxist the Democrats put out there.
