Report: Capitol Police Are Spying On Members Of Congress And The Americans They Meet
The Federalist ^ | 26-JAN-2022 | RACHEL BOVARD

As part of their job in screening visitors to the U.S. Capitol (should the complex ever re-open to the public, that is), U.S. Capitol Police often rummage through backpacks and purses. Lately, they may also be rummaging through more than that: your tax records, real estate holdings, and social media posts. All without your knowledge.

Besty Woodruff Swan and Daniel Lippman broke the details this week of a new Capitol Police initiative that involves deep dives into the speech, background, and lifestyle details of who members of Congress are meeting with, including donors, Hill staff, mayors, state legislators, and other Americans exercising their First Amendment right to petition their government.

Those member of congress apparently have to qualms about it…or else they’d do something to stop it. But they don’t.

I wonder why??

I seriously doubt they are spying on Nancy Pelosi’s wing of the hall . . . that might be construed as ‘breaking the law’ or something.

Congress is allowing this abuse of power. The monster bureaucracy has turned on them. The only way to stop the abuse is cut their funding and confess to their blackmail. Yeah it’s going to hurt but until they do they run the country.

Dox every member of the Capital Police. Make life very difficult for them. If your neighbor , who is a member of the Capital Police, needs a jump for his car, would like to borrow your lawnmower, or needs you to hold a ladder, decline.

If a Capital Police officer patronizes your place of business, refuse to serve him. If you see him drop his wallet, don’t alert him.

The Capital Police and FBI should be met with legal passive resistance. Ostracize them!

Outside of national security type issues, I’d like to see an end to closed door meetings in Congress, in addition, to end or limit this epic corruption, I’d like to see all of their phone calls monitored/recorded, this includes all official electronic commutations, email etc. And I’d also like to see everyone in Congress subjected to annual financial investigations.

Better that the Capital Police have to endure the constituents

Sen. Harry Reid on Smelly Tourists and the Capitol Visitor Center https://petergreenberg.com/2008/12/04/sen-harry-reid-on-smelly-tourists-and-the-capitol-visitor-center/

“Washington, DC has more than its share of government-related monuments, and perhaps appropriately, this particular project was over budget, finished late and was the subject of partisan, religious-tinged wrangling.

The Center, located to the east of the Capitol building and completely underground, was opened to the public on December 2nd.

At the Center’s dedication, Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada) called it “an engineering feat that will stand the test of time, making this building and those who work within it safer while enriching the visitor’s experience for the three million who will come here every year.”

This “feat” cost about $620 million (vs. the $265 million originally budgeted).

Sen. Reid also remarked on one positive aspect of the millions spent: the center’s high-quality ventilation system. Reid said, “In the summertime, because (of) the high humidity and how hot it gets here, you could literally smell the tourists coming into the Capitol.”

I’m betting it’s only Republicans, and visitors to Republicans who get the treatment. And the spying is being done at the behest of the democrats.
