Groups such as Black Lives Matter and Women's March launched an effort calling for the justice's retirement

News of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer's intention to retire comes after months of pressure from the left to hang up his robe in time for President Biden to name his replacement.

"There’s no question that Justice Breyer, for whom I have great respect, should retire at the end of this term," Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., said last spring, just months after Biden took office. "My goodness, have we not learned our lesson?"

He didn’t want to wake up dead in an AZ desert resort with a pillow over his head like Scalia.

Were I him, my response would be ‘Suck it, I’ll retire when Biden can formulate and communicate a complete thought!’

No doubt he was pressured. Joke Biden and the dems need something they can say they “accomplished.” They are desperate in fact.

His fault. Breyer could have retired at the beginning of Obama’s term at 71. These radicals in robes staying in this long is ridiculous.

Does the Democratic party control certain judges on the Supreme Court?

[ In first with the ‘Justice Breyer didn’t kill himself!’ ]

You know how they will do it?

They will dose him with some drug to make him loopy then haul his ass in and hook him on a respirator and then when he dies from having his lungs blown out they will blame Goresuch for not wearing a mask.

Goodbye stoopid Breyer. How soon can the Dems hustle in a black wheelchair bound lesbian to replace him?

In a similar vein:

Psaki declines to reveal when Biden learned of Breyer retirement

Asked when the president was made aware of Breyer's decision to retire, Psaki said only that the administration had no influence over his choice.

"This was Justice Breyer's decision to make, on his own timeline and through his own conditions he determined," Psaki said of Breyer's retirement.

She answers with a response that had nothing to do with the question asked. They're denying he was forced to resign, even though nobody had yet asked them about that.

Just keep whoever Biden sends up in limbo until after the elections, then deny her the seat.

Do what they’d do, IOW.

Big deal. They learned something from Ginsberg. And Trump got lucky, sort of.

Democrats are bullies... even their boys in the press are bullies. It’s who they are - no one can stray from the plantation without being cancelled. Thugs.

At this point, what difference does it make. Let them have their little “victory” in between military debacles and failed agendas. So they’ll replace one liberal judge with a dyed-in-the-wool leftard, foaming-at-the-mouth radical, who’s female and black, and relatively young. BFD. She’ll write some stupid, over-the-top dissenting opinion, and repulse the remaining liberal and swing votes into never siding with her. Judges aren’t quite so easy to buffalo, although Roberts may be the exception.

My thoughts exactly! SO she will vote exactly the way Breyer would likely have voted....she will likely alienate even some of the nominally “Liberal” judges and also whatever parts of the public is treated to her “opinions”-—it’s my feeling though that if it’s Ifill, the only one that’s gotten in-depth exposure, she won’t even get confirmed, if her testimony is at all honest. So far, yours is the only comment that is shrewd, and objectively to-the-point.
