Kamala was, briefly a Senator, so that may sway some Senators to approving her appointment to SCOTUS in spite of the fact that she is really a legal lightweight. On the other hand her deep unpopularity might give Senators, especially those up for reelection some pause to giving her lifetime appointment.
Republicans would be foolish to ratify any replacement VP if Kam leaves for any reason before this year’s elections. Why give the dems a tie-breaking vote?
