I didn't know that Youngkin was shutting down churches, imprisoning priests and nuns, infiltrating social gatherings with secret police, shutting down news media and replacing them with his own controlled media, invading and annexing adjacent states, and establishing a collectivist economy.

However, in recent years the left here and elsewhere in the West has shut down churches over Covid mandates, arrested ministers for opposing homosexuality, censored opposing views, tried to shut down conservative media, waged a war against small business, and infiltrated opposition groups with government agents. So who is acting like the Soviet Union?
