The legislation would send $500 million from the Foreign Military Financing program to Ukraine for 2022.

10% for The Big Guy. Sadly, the Banana Republic jokes write themselves on this one.

I see it as a major Putin blunder and miscalculation.

It could be, for sure, if he invades. But I’m not convinced he’s going to. In fact I’m not even sure I believe the reports on the size of the supposed military buildup on his side of the border. I just don’t have that level of trust in the media.

Even if Russia does have troops there, a border is a logical place for them to be. I’m not defending them I’m just saying it may be over blown. Didn’t the Ukraine Prime Minister or someone call for a cooling of the rhetoric just yesterday?

Meanwhile, speaking of borders, China is flying air missions over Taiwan. Who is a more important trading partner to the US, Ukraine or Taiwan? Aren’t we actually dependent on them for most of the high capacity semiconductors manufactured in the world?

I don’t really want to change the subject to Taiwan, just point out I’m a lot more worried about it, than Ukraine, or even Putin.

Damn, I thought most SEALs could multi task, lol.

You are the exception, sea biscuit.

Again, the full weight of your STRAW MAN arguments.

Nobody is starting WWIII or or sending to US troops to Ukraine. **Russia is not fu*king going to war with anybody. They have been advised it’s up to the them to invade or not.

I don’t agree with everything that you said, but I agree with the general gist. China is a serious peer adversary, with a more modern military, technology, and a growing economic power.

Russia is a nuisance. They can take Kiev if they wish, but there will be serious economic consequences, which we will all see if they invade. I think he backs down. If he doesn’t, he wins the battle but downsizes the Russian economy.

Thanks friend. If Putin invades, he should, and will, pay a heavy price, I believe. Hopefully he won’t be that foolish, as the bumbling administration here is looking for something they can point at to take attention off themselves. In the grand scheme, China should be our focus, which this is distracting from, possibly by design. Thanks again.

The choice of Ukraine to join NATO, which Tony Blinken explicitly affirmed today, is a risk the Russians will go to war over.

Too bad you are too stupid to understand such a simple concept.

It’s 1914, not 1938.

I’m stupid, yet you can’t comprehend the simple concept of sovereignty.

It’s 2022, btw.

When you gain the ability to lose your formulaic dime-store novel understanding, perhaps you will grasp that Russia isn’t going to war with anybody except Ukraine. The US/NATO is not threatening a military response, but an economic one.

2030: The USA partially breaks up. California declares independence and invites China to install missiles for its defense as a sovereign nation.

You are fine with this, by your logic. We must let it happen.

“The legislation would send $500 million from the Foreign Military Financing program to Ukraine for 2022. That amount would have made Ukraine the third-largest recipient of funding from the State Department’s FMF account in 2020, surpassed only by $3.3 billion to Israel and $1.3 billion to Egypt.”

And the 81 Billion to Afghanistan last year.
