Howdy, luvie.

How goes it your way this evening?

We had a really nice day up here and it’s going to hurt to wake up tomorrow to dead winter again.

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Hey there, radu!

Sorry...I got caught up in a show I’ve been wanting to watch. So your bad weather starts tomorrow. Ours supposedly begins on Wednesday.

Today was pretty nice here, too. A bit breezier than I like but I should be used to it by now. Glad you had a good one. Were you able to get some stuff done?

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Thanks for sending a little of your nice weather over here for a day. It was nice to get by with a light jacket for a change. I guess we’re both going back into the deep freeze now. Was it still nice enough to enjoy your outing with Gizmo?

Round One of our cold weather starts tonight. Round Two comes in overnight Thursday. That’s the one you’ll get Wednesday.

It was a little breezy here but it was still comfy enough outside. The wind died after sunset so I burned a bunch of trash. I got a few other things done today as well. Had to take advantage of such a pretty day.

We did have some nice weather for a trip to Comanche Lake yesterday. There were people driving around and boating out there. Also Gizmo got to roll over in a few spots.

Pics of the front gate don’t look like it did when I left there in 1972 after 2 1/2 years being stationed there!!

They seem to be tightening up in the time frame. I had heard that the eastern states would have another round of really bad weather this coming weekend. Hope that one doesn’t include your area!

In Western PA here and we just got another 5 inches today on top of last weekends snow....couple more clippers like this and the storm they’re calling for this weekend will just hammer us.

Best batten down those hatches. Sounds like they’re going to keep coming. The odd part is that the one coming up there sort of originates in the Gulf of Mexico. Crazy, huh.

And we just had a small earthquake. 2.9 just north of us at about 1:20am cst. I had earbuds in but hubby heard and asked about it, and it showed up on the USGS site.

MUST have been nice if folks were out on their boats. It wasn’t quite THAT nice here but still a lot nicer than it’s been. Sounds like it was an excellent day for you and Gizmo to get out. He looked quite pleased with it.

Never felt an earthquake....came close to tornado possibility but other than snow we don’t get those..so far. It would be certainly unnerving for me.

Yep...batten down the hatches is right. Unfortunately my SUV is getting new break lines and the owner of the shop who has his other mechanic is out with covid and he himself is just on the other side of it (sounds miserable still). So I told him to take his time.

At any rate I’m in for the duration but ample supplies to supply. I stock up real good about ever two months.

There are several that are going to scoot across the northern part of the country with snow. At least we don’t have THAT to contend with.

There’s been a big batch of rain in the Gulf for a couple of days. It’s moving east but staying south of us, thank goodness. If it was coming up here to meet the cold air, YUCK.

That quake wasn’t far from you, was it? At least it was a small one and didn’t shake you up.

Said it was 6 miles north of the city center, so probably about 4 miles from the house. It’s been a while since we had one.

Guess I’d better head out. See ya tomorrow night for the fun quiz! :)

Earthquakes are a bit startling. The ones we get don’t shake so much as they create a boom that makes it seem as though a car has run into the house. Or maybe like a sonic boom. But they’re little compared to some in other parts of the country.

Good for you being prepared. Just hope you don’t have to get out in it for work, etc. Stay warm!
