The disaster had a reported depth of 10 kilometers, and a 5.6 magnitude.

The departmental delegate reported that one person had died and at least three people were hurt.

In August of 2021, Haiti experienced a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that killed more than 2,000 people.

At least 5,700 people were injured in the Caribbean nation, with thousands more displaced from their destroyed or damaged homes.

The earthquake struck the southwestern part of the hemisphere’s poorest nation, almost razing some towns and triggering landslides that hampered rescue efforts in a country already struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, a presidential assassination, and a wave of gang violence.

earthquakes and landslides in Haiti....
“a country already struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, a presidential assassination, and a wave of gang violence.”

How much more can they take down there?

“a country already struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, a presidential assassination, and a wave of gang violence.”

If you look at the history of Haiti, it’s business as usual!

Bottom line any effort by outsiders there is wasted effort.

Haiti is cursed. It is on the same Island with the Dominican Republic yet receives a far greater share of natural disasters.
