Why do you think the Feds are so desperate for poor people to have smartphones (AKA the Obama Phone) courtesy of your taxpayer money?
For the control mechanism to be complete each and every American must have to have a smart phone and they may start legally requiring you to have one on you at all times.
I can imagine a prosecutor in the court saying "Why did you go out that night without your smart phone? Were you trying to evade cell tower geolocation to the murder site?"
I can almost imagine this headline in a few years "Mr. Johnson was caught outside at 10:30 PM without a cell phone and charged with criminal evasion of safety surveillance."
