German navy chief resigns following Ukraine comments

The head of the German navy resigned late Saturday after coming under fire at home and abroad for comments he made on Ukraine and Russia.

Speaking at an event in India on Friday, vice admiral Kay-Achim Schoenbach had said Ukraine would not regain the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014. Schoenbach also said it was important to have Russia on the same side against China, and suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin deserved “respect.”

His comments, captured on video, caused anger in Ukraine, which summoned the German ambassador to complain. They also sparked consternation and a swift rebuke back in Berlin.

By late Saturday, Schoenbach had asked for his dismissal, saying he wanted to prevent further damage resulting to Germany and its military from his “ill-considered statements.”

In a statement, the German navy said Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht had accepted Schoenbach’s resignation and appointed his deputy as interim naval chief.

"Berlin says it won’t supply Ukraine with lethal weapons, arguing that it doesn’t want to inflame tensions further."

That's about all you CAN inflame if Russia shuts your gas off.

The pandemic no longer will allow their total control so now they will incite a war. Biden will then declare a national emergency and declare Marshal Law. Then he will cancel elections for November because of the danger to our democracy and all will remain the same. Dems really have no intention of losing power. They do not care about the low polls because they never intend to have an honest election again. They do not play fair or care about the American people.

The reality is, if Russia wants Ukraine, there is no stopping them without paying a heavy price. I don’t want Americans dying for this. The deep state is salivating over this.

Russia is unlikely to invade Ukraine, unless this idiotic Biden foreign policy team forces its hand.

This is like the situation at the beginning of the first Gulf War, when Saddam told Egyptian President Mubarak that his intent was not to invade Kuwait, but only to intimidate Kuwait to lower its oil output to raise prices that would benefit Iraq and help pay off its war debts. Mubarak promised Saddam he would not reveal to Kuwait he did not intend to invade, but then went straight to the Emir of Kuwait and told him. Kuwait, thinking no invasion would come, refused to adjust its output. Saddam, his bluff called, had no alternative than to move in and occupy Kuwait and set fire to the oil wells.

Please explain how anybody can "force" Putin to invade a neighboring country?
