CIA-trained Ukrainian paramilitaries may take central role if Russia invades
Yahoo News ^ | 13-JAN-2022 | Zach Dorfman

The CIA is overseeing a secret intensive training program in the U.S. for elite Ukrainian special operations forces and other intelligence personnel, according to five former intelligence and national security officials familiar with the initiative. The program, which started in 2015, is based at an undisclosed facility in the Southern U.S., according to some of those officials.

The CIA-trained forces could soon play a critical role on Ukraine’s eastern border, where Russian troops have massed in what many fear is preparation for an invasion. The U.S. and Russia started security talks earlier this week in Geneva but have failed thus far to reach any concrete agreement.

“Actually Korbut was Belarussian, from Grodno, which actually belonged to Poland before WWII.”

To show how screwed up Europe was throughout history, in 1914 (the beginning of WWI) Poland did not even exist as a nation, and Grodno was in Russia (so was Warsaw! and Crakow was part of Austria-Hungary!). If you can find a map of Europe in 1914, you can see Russia’s westernmost boundary ran from the eastern Baltic sea south-southeast to Odessa on the Black Sea, with a western “bulge” between Germany and Austria-Hungary (it was in that bulge that Warsaw lay). Of course, in WWI Russia lost all that, and more.

I doubt that either one is on the side of the Lord. He’s eating popcorn, and knows the outcome, but has no great admiration for either.

What’s really sick is that Foe Jiden might just throw down with Russia to boost his approval rating. Wouldn’t put it past him. It would lower him even more in my estimation.

It won’t bolster the child molester’s approval rating. Nobody sane supports going to war with Russia. Absolute “wag the dog” crapola.

I should hope not. But he’s in Wile E. Coyote pre-free-fall mode, so he might just try flapping his arms. The fact that it won’t raise his ratings is cold comfort. Soldiers will be sent off to fight for something utterly pointless, and some of them will die or be maimed or scarred for life.
