AN ACT TO CREATE NEW SECTION 37-13-2, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT NO PUBLIC INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING, COMMUNITY/JUNIOR COLLEGE, SCHOOL DISTRICT OR CHARTER SCHOOL SHALL DIRECT OR COMPEL STUDENTS TO AFFIRM THAT ANY SEX, RACE, ETHNICITY, RELIGION OR NATIONAL ORIGIN IS INHERENTLY SUPERIOR, OR THAT INDIVIDUALS SHOULD BE ADVERSELY TREATED BASED ON SUCH CHARACTERISTICS; TO PROVIDE THAT NO DISTINCTION OR CLASSIFICATION OF STUDENTS SHALL BE MADE ON ACCOUNT OF RACE OTHER THAN THE REQUIRED COLLECTION OR REPORTING OF DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION; TO PROVIDE THAT NO COURSE OF INSTRUCTION SHALL BE TAUGHT THAT AFFIRMS SUCH PRINCIPLES; TO PROVIDE THAT NO FUNDS SHALL BE EXPENDED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, ANY ENTITY UNDER THE DEPARTMENT’S JURISDICTION, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, CHARTER SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY/JUNIOR COLLEGES, THE MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF STATE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING OR PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING FOR ANY PURPOSE THAT WOULD VIOLATE THIS ACT; TO PROVIDE FOR THE SEVERABILITY OF THE ACT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

Somebody on the bill writing staff needs to get the text corrected. In several places it uses the word tenant instead of tenet, something which a Leftist judge may use to create mischief.
“No public institution of higher learning, community/junior college, school district or public school, including public charter schools, shall direct or otherwise compel students to personally affirm, adopt or adhere to any of the following tenants:”
A tenant is someone who rents or leases a house, apartment, etc. from a landlord. A tenet is a principle, dogma, belief, or doctrine generally held to be true.

14 of Mississippi’s black, Democratic state senators prove that CRT does cause brain control.
I don’t see where specifically the term “CRT” is mentioned in the bill.
The fact that the bill negates the basic premise of CRT, based on what little undersatnding of it, it is easy to see that those senators are in favor of racial inequality.
Critical Race Theory is not mentioned, because the term is not used in the school instructional materials, so it would be too easy to get around it.
The key teaching point of CRT is that white people are all privileged and racist. And that black people are oppressed by white privilege. The law needs to focus on that.
This is an area where whites need to stand their ground and fight.
