Looks like Free Republic is in love with DeSantis. Just like Free Republic was in love with Ted Cruz in ‘16 primary.
The love affair with Cruz was preceded with a love affair with the Bush Crime Family.
It was not until after Jethro Bodine Bush left office that Mommy Bush spilled the beans that two the families were related. Remember brothers with other mothers. Jethro jokingly admitted in an interview that made Hildebeast his sister-in-law.
Those Bushes were something else.
No new taxes, read my lips.
Weapons of mass destruction that were never found even after a decade of military occupation.
Mission accomplished, declaring a phony end to a phony war.
Running for reelection on the platform of nominating conservatives to the Supreme Court then after winning reelection nominating Jethro Bodine Bush’s go-fer Harriet Mears to the SCOTUS with the primary position on her resume was politically appointed head of the Texas State Lottery.
Cruzbots were merely evolved Bushbots.
Lyin’ Ted was a Canadian not qualified to run for POTUS.
Of course Republicans don’t know or care much about the Constitution as they allowed Pierre Delecto’s Mexican born daddy to run for nomination way back in the day.
I give Babs credit, she got one thing right.
Before low-energy Jeb entered the race in 2016, she wisely said, “The country doesn’t want no more Clintons or Bushes.”
Was she ever on the money on that one.
As for DeSantis I can’t help but think he went to Yale as did the Clintons, the Bushes, John Kerry, and the founder of the National Review.
Guilt by association?
Maybe, but I am voting Trump, I prefer Senior, but if that ain’t possible I’ll vote for Junior.
They don’t want EITHER of them. This is the quickest way to weaken both of them and look at all of the new posters on FR fanning the flames of a made up “feud.”
They’re either incapable of reading actual real quotes or they’re paid by leftist operatives by either party to cause chaos here and post disinformation.
You think Crist can beat him? Didn’t he lose last time he ran for governor?
Trump resurrected and expanded the GOP, a dying party, to make it the America First party. The GOP is now the party of the American worker. The Chamber of Commerce no longer controls the party.
No other prospective GOP candidate can draw the crowds and loyalty like Trump. The Dems have tried to destroy Trump so he can never run again, The Russia Hoax, two impeachments, the J6 Committee, and other legal attempts to smear Trump have not diminished his popularity.
2022 GOP candidates seek Trump's endorsement and beg for him to appear with him on the hustings. He is the GOP's biggest fund raiser. Anyone who thinks Trump is a political liability is a fool. The Dems fear him, witness their efforts to destroy him and his movement.
You think Crist can beat him? Didn’t he lose last time he ran for governor? And senator?
Lets face it, Trump is getting pretty “long in the tooth”.
Especially after Biden, the cognitive issues president, (Biden won’t be running in 2024, trust me), age WILL BE an issue in 2024. Trump sweeps this aside by choosing DeSantis as his running mate/heir apparent.
It’s a BRILLIANT strategy.
Leave it to the NR to try to start a war between Trump and DeSantis. Let’s go NR.
Good way to sum it up. I’m really impressed with DeSantis and how he has governed Florida during his tenure. Would he be able to do the same in Washington? Perhaps he will try too hard to be amicable with the legislators inside the beltway? Hard to say at this point.
100%
Bingo!
You really enjoy bashing President Trump.
Oh, and welcome to Freerepublic.
Who can say it's not possible? DeSantis barely won his last election, and the US southern border is currently wide open, and there has been an incredible amount of people moving into Florida since then, and everyone seems convinced the Democrats are capable of stealing elections.
So could it happen? Absolutely. We should be focused on making sure it doesn't, not worrying what may or may not happen in 2024. It may be a whole new ballgame by then, and if the elections aren't secured, we may not win then, either.
Trump nukes media narrative about ‘tension’ with DeSantis…

Trump just MURDERED the media narrative that there's tension between him and Gov. DeSantis by calling it “TOTALLY FAKE NEWS”

Another day, “conservative98” poets even more disinformation and lies from fake news media.
“Trump/DeSantis for 4 years and then DeSantis/??? for 8 more?”
For me, that is the perfect scenario. NR and Lowry are threatened and transparent.
I voted for him twice. I am also a realist.
No one over age 70 will ever be elected after dementia Joe.
Trump ain’t young, so you never know.
In most states, independents don't vote in the Republican primaries. In most polls today, independents give Biden less than 30% approval.
Plus he will be 79. 4 years past the average males expiration date means stuff goes wrong with no warning.
Trump was born June 14, 1946. He is currently 75 years old. In November 2024, he will be 78 years old. Life expectancy at birth for American males is 78.18 year old. For males who have reached the age of 78, the average number of years left is 9.43 years.
If you’re a realist....here’s a bit of reality.
This is a made up feud concocted by avowed Never Trumpers.
President Trump is on record stating this is FAKE NEWS.
Ron DeSantis is currently running for re-election for Florida Governor.
Ron DeSantis has stated several times and recently was quoted stating he is not running for President .
Now, I know that them showing unity really infuriates the leftists who demand it is otherwise, but those are the REALITIES.
DeSantis knows DC. He was a FL congressman for almost 6 years.
