Netflix came to me via a T Mobile plan that saved me app.

Mine did as well. I'm not sure about you, but mine started as "free", but Netflix has had a couple of price increases since then that T-Mobile didn't cover. So my T-Mobile bill reflects the difference. I believe Netflix has another price increase coming very soon as well. I don't expect T-Mobile to cover it.

I think they're doomed as was Blockbuster. All of the "plus" services are siphoning subscribers. Netflix and "streaming" used to be practically synonymous. Now they all kind of hang by the thread of the addictiveness of one or two shows that they provide.

When you stop for a moment and assess, you find that you're paying 8-10 bucks a month for ONE show. They've got 99% other trash that you don't want and will never want. That's not just Netflix, that's everybody.

What used to be an awesome cost-saving alternative to cable, financially becomes as costly as cable. I suppose they'll always find a way to siphon the entertainment dollars.

One of the only things that they've still got going for them over traditional cable is their month-to-month, cancel anytime, policies. If they were to force people to commit to a year or pay a cancellation fee, there'd be a reckoning.

As an aside, I could have done without "Squid Games". And if Netflix is counting on more content like that to stay afloat and justify price increases, they'll be gone soon.

Absolutely. We dumped all of them years ago. Direct TV, Dish, and we do not support streaming even though we could. We went old school with a couple big C-Band dishes and now get Free To Air satellite. We get 8 channels that give us plenty to watch, and if there is nothing on we go get some work done on our endless projects towards being self sufficient.

But we could live without any TV at all if we had to.

I watch a few shows on Netflix because T-Mobile pays for the subscription. Otherwise, I think I would pass. I am excited about Ozark Season 4.
