On Saturday, the first phase of Washington D.C.'s vaccine mandate for most indoor establishments went into effect, as patrons were required to show that they had received at least one vaccine, along with their ID to prove they are the vaccinated person. Saturday coverage from Antonio Olivo with The Washington Post noted that "District vaccine mandate garners mixed reactions and awkward searches for proof of doses."
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), who has vocally stood against vaccine and mask mandates, is refusing to partake and has met with other members of Congress to discuss alternatives, which has thus far included patronizing nearby Northern Virginia.

Our Association has an annual conference in DC - because of the Vax Passports we are moving to Virginia. This will kill tourism in Washington.
As if that would be a bad thing? How many CONgress critters have still not complied? Are they not exempt from brandon’s vax-a-thon mandate?

A true statement. Where is the GOP leadership? Seems like only a handful of GOP politicians are speaking out.
One might perceive there is communist party (Democrat) and statist/corporatist party (Republican) in this country. No party standing for individual liberty.

I have heard them say that senators, reps, presidents come and go, but THEY are permanent. We must end these bureaucracies. Fauci is the prime example.

Interesting that you have to have an ID to prove who you are and that you are the one who has been vacinated — yet DC government is agains voter ID. These people (Democrats) are the scum of the earth.

You only have to take a look at the pictures of D.C. cocktail parties where Republicans and Democrats are seen yukking it up with members of the opposite party while wearing big grins to know that their loyalty is to their fellow elites instead of their constituents. Mitch McConnell has a lot more in common with Chuck Schumer than he does with any of his voters. That's why people like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert are reviled, they won't join the club and partake of it's benefits like they're supposed to.
