I think you’re right - when you have only one dead horse you don’t stop beating it. Their problem is that outside the Beltway echo chamber nobody’s buying. When their media started bleating that inflation is good for you I knew they were getting desperate, and announcing that the Zeta version of the bug is going to make everyone’s nose fall off so they better postpone the election isn’t going to cut it.
