What I find ridiculous, is when you swipe your card to pay and they prompt you to add a gratuity.

A gratuity for a take out order?

We operate a medically free group of restaurants in Fla. While we do have staff shortages during “cold and flu” season we are currently operating 30% ahead of pre pandemic levels. We have a very strict “covid” policy. “If you’re sick stay home, if not come to work”. Thank God we are in Florida.

Starbucks bagged ground coffee is available at the Lowe’s Market in the nearest town 18 miles away-I suppose there are some people who like the brand-but I prefer ground Colombian coffee that I make myself...

LOL! The local cashiers wouldn't know how to compute a 3% discount.

Is it a federal law or State law...providing discount for cash purchases?

Proudly born in Wyoming a long time ago which is more than Dick Cheney or Alan Simpson could ever say.

My father was finishing up his master’s degree at the University of Wyoming.

The story goes that my first home was the basement of a dance hall a few miles outside of Laramie where my father got a few extra bucks plus free board for caretaking the place which was only used on the weekends.

My mother told me bears would look in the basement windows.

We moved to the Midwest before I was a year old.

Raised and lived my adult life in a Midwest state that I am ashamed to claim hence my screen name Biblebelter, which could have as easily been Cornbelter or Rustbelter.

It’s overrated. It’s not bad but kind of bland. Perfect for the typical American who cannot handle spicy food.
