The first time that I saw a Tesla was in 2013 when someone was having a 240 line installed in their garage. I asked him why he bought it; he said “I used to race Porsches. But this is the fastest car I’ve driven in my life. It will pin you to the seat”.
That’s a compelling joy of EVs: acceleration.
My humble Nissan Leaf had crazy acceleration. It wore out 65,000-mile tires in 17,000 miles, just from acceleration (and I wasn’t deliberately & frequently straining limits).
Am hoping for Cybertruck, with sub-3 second 0-60 time.
