300 Miles at what temperature and terrain? In my state it is not uncommon to have hills. Half a mile climbs at 3-6% grade. The electric buses the City purchased climb the smaller ones at 15 mph, just a little faster than I can ride on my bicycle. Those cool little Teslas zoom up them, but who can afford 100K for one? or 70K?

Back in the 70’s, Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which did not suck.

If we had put in only 1% of the budget we had for CHF Controlled Hot Fusion, we’d have this thing totally licked by now.

Likewise, the Left keeps proclaiming...

If we had put in only 1% of the budget we had for _____________, we’d have ___________ thing totally licked by now.

Maybe this exercise will get you over that threshold of understanding.

What exercise?

According to modern understanding, the electron is a point particle with a point charge and no spatial extent. Attempts to model the electron as a non-point particle have been described as ill-conceived and counter-pedagogic.[1]  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_electron_radius

From what I can find, we have an apples/oranges thing here.  A volume that an electron COULD occupy is calculated, but the actual size of the electron cannot be.

The electron rest mass (symbol: me) is the mass of a stationary electron, also known as the invariant mass of the electron. It is one of the fundamental constants of physics.
It has a value of about 9.109×10−31 kilograms or about 5.486×10−4 daltons, equivalent to an energy of about 8.187×10−14 joules or about 0.5110 MeV.[2]

That is a real risk.

I notice this about you. You quote things without understanding them. Like that final quoted paragraph. That was how you were off by more than 100 orders of magnitude prior to this. You do not know math, so you should probably refrain from criticizing it. You keep sending out questions to me after we had our little interaction, and you never show that you understand what is behind the questions nor the concepts. And yet that doesn’t stop you from criticizing those who do understand.

According to modern understanding,
***which is updated on a weekly basis. And that modern understanding is about to throw the prior understanding of electrons out on its ear.

the electron is a point particle with a point charge and no spatial extent.
***Those are the kinds of things physicists do in order to be able to use easier math.

Attempts to model the electron as a non-point particle have been described as ill-conceived and counter-pedagogic.
***There we have it. Scientists engaging in scientism. Instead of simply doing the hard math or finding more suitable ways to understand what’s going on.

LOL The toons who think going to Mars is the vacation spot of the future are the same ones who think the same about electric cars! Occam’s Razor!

I notice this about you. You quote things without understanding them.

I notice certain things about your answers as well. You tend to not address the point I bring up but instead vector off into haranguing me about my lack of understanding.

When it finally does, THEN get back to me.

What we have here, is an attempt at deflection.

“is about to”
***This is what you do. And you are good at it. It’s the astronomer’s trick of holding up your thumb to the sun to block out its rays so you can look at what might be near it. And then you pretend as if it’s just as bright as the sun — that’s where you go off into the weeds. Because anything blocked out by the sun isn’t as bright as the sun from so far away, duhhh... But it doesn’t stop you from overlooking sumthin a hundred orders of magnitude difference and focus on some idiotic stupid minor point. I would rather harness the sun’s rays, thank you very much. And I’d prefer you stick your thumb where the sun don’t shine.

And this is what YOU typed:

And now you are rambling on about sunshine.

You’re at the start. Remember that you were off by over a hundred orders of magnitude. But of course you “doubt”, once again, those who are ahead of you by even orders of magnitude.
