I think the crucial word here is “ ...MAY lead...”. In essence, Djokovic is being punished by refusal for him to earn a living (as for the most foreign players) not for his actual transgressions, but for the possible ones (as they may be defined by Australian government officials). And that firmly places the said officials in the same group with Soviet communists, German Nazis, and all other fascists’ regimes. Sad day for Australian people to be associated with such a “distinguished” company...
