What part of order, civility, law, prosperity and just plain common decency is it they don’t like?

I have a theory that the aging female voter (especially the CNN/MSNBC viewer) is absolutely terrified of becoming impoverished or homeless. If she ever does become homeless, she does not want to be prosecuted for petty crimes if she, for example, needs to steal food. So to her, in the short run, these DA's who vow not to prosecute smaller crimes seem very compassionate and sympathetic. Rising crime might scare her into voting conservative for a cycle or two, but she will eventually return to voting for the law not being mean to her in the future, the way MSNBC tells her it will.

Interesting. It may be so but hard to understand to me. I have never thought of the gooberment as my safety net.

Something my mother and my children never have to fear. We have made sure they all know our house is safe for them and will always be their backstop. The three girls are either working hard in school or raising a family, and know we have their backs. One of my sons knows it but doesn't believe it, his day is coming.

I guess if these women had been tending to their families and children, they might not be so scared.
