When a government agency tells people to not report things, that’s straight up unconstitutional First Amendment freedom of speech violation.

No hiding behind “Twitter is a private company and can censor whatever they want” this time.

Astonishing. I can’t see how this survives press conferences.

There MAY be an explanation. At one point Trump wanted to eliminate the CDC as the messaging nexus, so he had the deaths reported direct to HHS, not CDC, even though CDC is part of HHS.

This could merely be a reversal.

If not, it’s nearly incredible. Claiming 0 dead because you inform data sources they need not send death data in.
