It seems he did that well. I’ve fished Rend Lake. It’s quite the habitat.

There is also a nice 27 hole golf course on the eastern shores of the lake. It was in good shape a bunch of years ago. I haven’t been there in ages, but I suspect it is doing OK since it directly off I57.
