And it’s kids who can’t even get a legal drink who always end up paying for these mistakes in blood, flesh, and bone.

Ukraine is only one facet of the Russian gambit.
Perhaps you’ve managed to avoid hearing the rest of their demands but they also expect NATO to effectively revoke the membership of all of the former Soviet slave states and to give Russia a free hand to invade and reoccupy those countries.

So if you don’t see any similarities between the West handing off Ukraine to an aggressor the same way they sold out Czechoslovakia to Hitler then you’re not paying attention.
The Russians are playing a bad hand of poker and trying to bluff their way to a win. This cannot be allowed to happen and you’re fooling yourself if you think that the Russians can be appeased. It didn’t work with Hitler and it won’t work with Putin who thinks that Russia has a right to the former Soviet empire.
And Wilson passed all kinds of Sedition Acts during WWI, the Democrats would love to do the same should they get us into a war. And those laws will not go away once the war is over.

You are correct. Starting from awful diplomacy and telegraphing weakness, this is only possible with the current people in office.
The only winner in a war with Russia is China so why is Joe so interested in starting one?
