I want to thank the many wise and thoughtful replies to my post where I asked why congress does not pass a law requiring health care workers to get vaccinated and or wear masks.

Allow me to amend my thoughts a bit more.

The main apex of my thought is why is the Supreme court making decisions congress should be making?

I do not necessarily think that any law should be passed, by the Supreme court or congress, to require health care workers to get vaccinated or wear masks.

Frankly I do not think health care workers, or anyone for that matter, should be forced to be vaccinated. But if there’s going to be governmental “forcing” it should be done by congress, NOT by the Supreme freaking court.

If health care workers should be required to get vaccinated or wear masks, it should be determined by the health care facility, the health care workers themselves, and keeping in mind what happened with the Cuomo deal, perhaps congress should pass a law but there’s still debate on that deal.

My ire is raised over the Supreme court taking over our elected congress’ job.

“My ire is raised over the Supreme court taking over our elected congress’ job.”

My ire re the SCOTUS hearings on this is that they discussed and considered the effectiveness of, or lack thereof, the treatments. They don’t need to know ONE SINGLE THING about efficacy. They only need to know the Constitution and what it says about liberty. That is IT!!
