Exactly, which governor, or potential governor, would have forced the utilities to harden against weather never before seen in Texas.

George W. Bush? Naaa; Rick Perry? No way!!
DeSantis...nope.

It’s kind of like blaming whoever is governor for not being ready to deal with a Chinese nuclear strike. Easy to blame the guy in hindsight...but it’s an awfully high standard to expect him to anticipate it.

Abbott had studies from eight years earlier that said the hardening had to be done, then he put cronies from around the world on the very council that decides the RELIABILITY of energy for Texas. They, of course, worked to restrict all fossil fuel sources and increased windmills for winter use.

Other governors would not be that stupid. Abbott is a special kind of stupid and should not be reelected.
