“Wild Thing” by the Troggs ..

One of the things that makes it hard to designate songs in this category is making sure the artist was really a "one-hit" wonder. The Troggs has Wild Thing as their biggest hit but they also had this top ten hit (which IMO is their best song):

Love is All Around

I was going to suggest this song:

Come and Get Your Love by Redbone

but then I remember that they had another top 40 hit in Witch Queen of New Orleans. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Second regarding qualifiers for one hit wonders: What is also amazing is how many great people, never had a hit that scored high enough to put them on that list.

The Troggs had a single “With a Girl Like You” that hit #1 in the U.K. but only charted here in the U.S.. Odd thing is that Wild Thing never made it to #1 there.
