Russia was called to withdraw troops from Kazakhstan, and the special forces of the Russian Federation occupied infrastructure facilities

Russia was called upon to withdraw troops from Kazakhstan within 10 days. But the Russian military continues to report on the seizure of infrastructure and telecommunications centers under control against the backdrop of statements in the Russian media, allegedly a "Russophobe and nationalist" was appointed Minister of Information in Kazakhstan.

On January 11, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that the beginning of the withdrawal of CSTO forces, led by the Russian Federation, from the territory of Kazakhstan should begin on January 13 and foreign troops should leave the territory of the state within 10 days. On the same day, the head of the press service of the State Department, Ned Price, said that the United States welcomes such a statement and closely monitors that the foreign military contingent does not violate human rights and timely fulfills the demands of the head of Kazakhstan to leave the country.

Reaction of Russian propagandists

It seems that for Russian propagandists, Tokayev's statements came as a complete surprise. Since January 6, Russian Telegram channels have presented the actions of the CSTO, and personally Vladimir Putin's decision, as a "brilliant operation" that will ensure Russia's full control over Kazakhstan. But since January 11, publications began to appear in the Russian media about Tokayev's ambiguous gesture towards Russia. The propagandists paid special attention to the fact of the appointment of Askar Umarov as the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Russians call him a "nationalist and Russophobe" responsible for the dismantling of Russian media in Kazakhstan in recent years. So, from the victorious remarks that prevailed in Russian telegram channels in recent days, since January 11, minor questions have been increasingly heard from political scientists: "Was it worth it for Russia to save Kazakhstan?".

Special forces of the Russian Federation under the guise of "peacekeepers"

It is not yet known how Russia will behave in this situation, whether it will fulfill the requirements of the President of Kazakhstan and curtail the CSTO forces as soon as possible, or will delay the withdrawal process as much as possible in order to intensify the occupation plan. It is interesting that the basis of the CSTO forces transferred to Kazakhstan, according to the international intelligence community InformNapalm, are airborne units and special forces of the Russian Federation, which took an active part in the occupation of crimea and aggression against Ukraine in the Donbas.

For their prompt transfer, Russia used its entire fleet of serviceable military transport aircraft. At the same time, it inadvertently disclosed to analysts and military experts all its capabilities for deploying an airborne assault brigade by landing.

Interestingly, on January 12, even after Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's statements about the withdrawal of CSTO forces from Kazakhstan from January 13, the Russian Defense Ministry continues to distribute new videos with footage of infrastructure facilities that they have taken under their control. These are the international airport of Almaty, CHPP-1, CHPP-2, CHPP-3, a bakery, a city water utility, three telecommunications centers "Almaty-Telecom" and other facilities.

It is noteworthy that the video of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation from the Almaty airport shot demonstration footage with Russian military equipment (typhoon-K armored car and BTR-82A), which demonstratively cruises against the background of a passenger plane of Turkish Airlines Turkish Airlines. I wonder if this segment of the video is an aggressive hint to the Turkish side from the Russians or is it a simple coincidence?

Recall that earlier InformNapalm reported that the Russian Federation plans to transfer to the Donbas new Pantsir-S1 air defense systems to hunt for Bayraktar attack UAVs.

Analogies with the occupation of Crimea

Although this time the Russian "little green men" have chevrons and insignia, the video footage from Kazakhstan resembles the beginning of the occupation of Crimea, when the seizure of telecommunications facilities was also a priority for Russian troops.

Analysts of the Center "Prometheus" in their famous book in international diplomatic circles "Crimea behind the curtain. Guide to the Zone of Occupation" noted how the Russian operation began: "The occupation troops of the Russian Federation quickly established control over civilian objects in the Crimea: authorities, seaports and airports, telecommunication systems, strategic enterprises."

Interestingly, the Russian media, as in 2014, quickly found "nationalists and Russophobes" in the neighboring country. But whether this will be declared a reason for a new aggression, or taking into account the Crimean experience and the sanctions that follow it, they will still decide to curtail their forces is still an open question.
