My Ladyfriend and her son have been exposed to Covid, and we’re isolating, except by phone. Her daughter and husband had Covid, and recovered. I keep my distance, since they are shedding antibodies. At 72 and with 7 co-morbidities, I can’t take any chances.
Anecdotal: I have a coworker who had the Omicrud two weeks ago and returned to work on what she said was the tenth day since the start of her symptoms. She had the monoclonal antibodies on the fourth day of her symptoms. She is the only person I was around who had it. Exactly 36 hours after being in her presence (she did wear a paper mask), I began having symptoms as did another coworker. I felt so awful that I did not run to the urgent care. They wouldn’t do anything for me anyway. My friend went right away to be tested and tested negative. We stayed home from work because we felt so awful and had low grade fevers. On the day when I felt better, I had every intention of returning to work, but I had to get tested. Of course, I tested positive. My coworker did not retest. She simply said that she tested negative. So I’m home in quarantine. For me, this has been very mild like a flu but with only a few days of fever. I never had head congestion. I have a cough. I have taken a litany of vitamins and ivermectin. Food has not sounded appealing at all. The other night I forced myself to eat something, and then I felt a little bit of acid indigestion. I decided to take a Pepcid. I had read that it works on the Coof, but I hadn’t taken any. Just wow at how amazing it was to my chest congestion. I immediately felt my chest pain go down and started coughing up crud. I’m not a doctor, so I’m not giving out medical advice. But my acid pills (which I take once in a blue moon) came in handy the last few nights. It’s interesting because my chest congestion loosened up, and now I feel the slightest congestion in my sinuses.
