SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — A new lawsuit accused an ammunition supplier Wednesday of creating dangerous conditions on a movie set where a gun held by actor Alec Baldwin killed a cinematographer, by including live ammunition in a box that was supposed to include only dummy rounds.
The lawsuit was filed in New Mexico state district court by Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the armorer who oversaw firearms, ammunition and related training on the set of “Rust” along with two colleagues. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died on Oct. 21 from a gunshot wound during a “Rust” rehearsal at a ranch on the outskirts of Santa Fe in northern New Mexico.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office that is leading an investigation into the cause of the death has said it is too soon to determine whether charges will be filed. Investigators have described “some complacency” in how weapons were handled on set.

Why would t she? It’s not as if law enforcement has been interested in this case.
Setting up the old “nobody’s fault” defense. The live ammo just happened to show up, nobody knows how it got there in the ammo box, but that’s all there is to it. May as well close the case.
Not buyin’ it. A dummy .45 weighs a lot less than a bulleted round. And she’s (allegedly) a professional at handling ammunition.
Yeah. That’s what happened.
Why not the guy who pulled the trigger?
She is suing?? Wasn’t her job to check all the ammunition? Baldwin is should have been charged with manslaughter, but someone else screwed up big time that the live bullets were on the set and in the revolver, unless Baldwin put the ammunition in there deliberately.
A likely story (sarcasm tag).
🐴💩
What we know so far. A live round was in the chamber but no knows how it got there. The man holding the gun didn’t pull the trigger but the gun fired.
Would there be anything about the shell casing that could indicate where the live round came from?
It was still her job to check the ammo and load the weapons.
SHE WAS THE ARMORER.
Ok, I’ll say it;
Guns don’t kill people, Alex Baldwin kills people.
Remember, u made me do it!
Wow, they are really trying anything
🙄🙄🙄
baldwin lawyer wet dream?
I agree totally, she should have kicked him right in his ball bag as soon as he touched the gun. Anyone who knows guns knows he a dumbshitz who can’t be trusted.
Wasn’t it her job to check the boxes of ammunition? It might be somewhat difficult to tell a live bullet from a dummy in a revolver, but it should be really easy in a box. I don’t know that much about it, but isn’t lead really heavy, and wouldn’t a dummy bullet weight almost nothing?
on the bright side, seems to rule out a hannah-alec tryst, if only because imho something like that coming to light later would make this notion totally ludicrous
The “DUMMY!” shot the woman, blank or lead he fired the weapon. But yes a loaded bullet in 45 cal is around 290 to 340 grains or so a blank would be about half that. I load 230 grain wadcutters with around 6 or seven grains of powder and a primer and brass cartridge. Oh, and I don’t point weapons at people.
the wiki entry on the incident has no info on this lawsuit yet
